Fall/Winter 2005-2006:Dirty Girl finds new ways to get dirty!
WELDING: how was I supposed to know you need to weld to race vintage? My winter's adventure in welding school has been facinating. The elemental nature of welding enthralls me - the heat and sparks and smell of hot metal. TIG emerged as my favourite welding process, but each new metal I try challenges my abilites; mastering TIG will be a lifelong process. Stay tuned for 2006/2007 Karting season info., coming Sept. '06. The WROAR Ride: Least dirty activity, but enormously satisfying: I'm working again this year on the organizing committee for the WROAR Ride - an all women's motorcycle ride in support of the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre / Multicultural Women Against Rape. It's an all day event open to all motorcyclists and motorcycle enthusiasts, featuring a group ride for women only, as well as exhibitors, entertainment, demo rides and more! Look for the WROAR RIDE booth at shows, and visit our website www.wroar.com for more information. The Second WROAR Ride will take place on Sunday June 11th 2006. Keep an eye on the WROAR website for updates and more info.
BOWLATHON only slightly dirty activity, but a great deal of fun. |
