WROAR 4 - 2008 Ride Pictures
The 2008 WROAR Ride was our most successful year ever for fundraising; we surpassed our longstanding goal to raise over 10,000.00 in rider donations to the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre / Multicultural Women Against Rape. This was also our best attended event, with nearly 80 riders registered. We enjoyed wonderful weather, not too hot. This year our ride route was a very scenic with some interesting twisty stretches and some peaceful country backroads. Before and after the ride we enjoyed a wonderful event; see the photos below. There were over 75 bikes that participated this year and through their efforts we raised over $10,000.00 for the TRCC/MWAR. The 2008 Ride Route was about 90 KM through some very fun roads to ride throughout the north east of the city through Toronto, Whitby and Pickering.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our 2008 sponsors; Honda Canada for our wonderful venue, RTI & SUPERSHOW for their strong support since our first ride, and our new sponsor CJ Cycles, and all our supporting partners. We couldn't have done it without you!
Thanks also to the clubs who support the WROAR Ride; the Amazons won this year's club challenge, with some tough competition from the Chic Riders and the Rough Riders. Members of GTA Motorcycle and the York Region Riders were also involved in WROAR 4.
